Final Management Plan for Mariana Trench Marine National Monument

NOAA Fisheries and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in cooperation with the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Government, have prepared a final management plan for the proper care and management of the Mariana Trench Marine National Monument, as directed by Presidential Proclamation 8335. We have also prepared a final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact regarding implementation of the management plan.

The plan was developed with community input and was approved by the Mariana Trench Monument Advisory Committee. It defines agency management roles and responsibilities, and lays out monument goals, objectives, and proposed management activities for the next 15 years.
